Loss of smell, loss of taste, temperature, dry cough, body ache. At the initial stage with one or more symtoms.
Do not panic!
1. Do not hide the illness. Inform nearest medical authorities.
2. Consult with doctor through telemedicine/ teleconsulting.
3. Isolate yourself in a separate room for 17 days.
4. Use a separate bathroom/ restroom. If there is not more than 1 restroom/ bathroom, sanitize after using everytime.
5. Covid patient shall wear surgical mask at home and replace with new mask after every 6 to 8 hrs. Discard the mask once used.
6. Only one particular member of the family shall take care of the covid patient by wearing mask.
7. Aged persons, pregnant women, children and other sick patient shall distance themselves from covid patient.
8. Covid patient shall eat protein based diet like meat, egg, fish, lentils and food containing Vitamic C like oranges, lemon.
9. Use disposable plates and cutleries for covid patient. If not available keep separate set for Covid patient and keep them in separate place from the rest. The clothes of a covid patient should also be kept separately.
10. If isolation is not possible to less space at home, Covid patient shall look for Safe Home and shift to a safe home.
If the test report is positive, preferably monitored by a physician.
During lactation Doxycycline may be avoided.
Asymptomatics have tested positive. Exposure to covid positive patient or if clinical symtoms are there.
Proning reduces diaphramatic movement hindrances.
Proning is useful for -
1. It improves ventilation, makes breathing easier.
2. It is especially helpful if your SPO2 goes below 94.
3. Use 4-5 pillows for proning
4. Alter between lying positions and change position after 30 minutes.
